Aldi Pop-up Flower Stall

ALDI SAVES VALENTINE’S DAY BY OPENING FIRST EVER FLOWER STALL

• More than a quarter of men admit to forgetting to buy a Valentine’s Day gift, while 17% have had someone else buy a gift for their loved one
• To keep the romance alive, Aldi is launching its first ever flower stall in time for Valentine’s Day – with a dozen roses costing commuters just £4.49
• The opening comes as the supermarket predicts to sell two bunches of flowers a second in the run up to Valentine’s Day

New research has found men to be the guiltiest of killing the romance on Valentine’s Day, as almost one in five (17%) have had someone else buy a gift for their loved one, while more than a quarter (27%) have forgotten to buy anything altogether!

The study also found that one in four men (27%) said they don’t have enough time to find a gift, with one in five (19%) leaving it until the 14th or the day before to finally pick one up.

With almost a third (29%) of Brits ending up forking out more money as a result of their last-minute gift buying, supermarket Aldi is here to save Valentine’s Day, all in the name of love!

In a bid to help the UK rekindle the romance, Aldi is opening its first ever flower stall in one of the UK’s busiest train stations, London Waterloo.

Conveniently located in the heart of the station on 13th February, those passing through will swoon at the sight of the supermarket’s range of beautiful bouquets, with prices starting from as little as £2.29. What’s more, loved up travellers can spread even more love this Valentine’s Day as 100% of the proceeds from the stall will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.

The opening comes as the supermarket predicts to sell two bunches of flowers a second in the run up to Valentine’s Day.

Commuters passing through Waterloo station on 13th February can make a purchase at Aldi’s purse-friendly flower stall for as little as £2.29. The stall will be open from 7am – 7pm.
