Music for Passiontide and Palm Sunday
Wycombe Chamber Choir invite you to join us for a beautiful programme of music for Passiontide and Palm Sunday. The concert opens with two settings of Hosanna to the King of David by Thomas Weelkes and by Orlando Gibbons. There is also a 16-part setting of Crucifixus by Italian composer Antonio Caldara, plus works by Brahms and Bruckner. The concert ends with a haunting setting of three prayers written by Dietrich Bonhoffer while in prison awaiting execution.
