OPERA LEGEND: Hera Hyesang Park
Coming to Wells from the Metropolitan Opera in New York to lead a unique weekend of vocal masterclasses and workshops, Hera Hysesang Park, over two recitals, performs a selection of favourite opera arias and international song, especially from her native South Korea. She is the first singer of Asian descent ever to be signed by Deutsche Grammophon. She will also talk about her stratospheric rise to the top of the opera world as a lyric coluratura soprano, the unknown richness of her South Korean musical heritage and working with Placido Domingo.
