Einstein's Music
A unique amalgam of music and physics - half concert, half lecture, exploring the science in music and the music in science with particle physicist Professor Brian Foster FRS and two star musicians.
Albert Einstein was the kind of physicist that you don’t tend to find much anymore: a polymath contributor of a remarkable body of work across multiple areas of physics who, in addition to his scientific achievements, fostered a lifelong passion for music.
Sharing this passion is particle physicist Brian Foster FRS, Donald H Perkins Professor of Experimental Physics at Oxford University, who teams up with star musicians Jack Liebeck and Katya Apekisheva for a unique show exploring these parallel worlds. “Einstein’s Universe” comprises a unique and constantly updated lecture, interspersed with classical music, to shine a unique light on the great physicist’s legacy to science and the role that music played in his life.
