International Women's Day @ Making Space
On the eve of International Women's Day, 7 March, we invite you to join Making Space for an inclusive and creative evening celebrating women in craft.
We will be hosting a series of activities which you can either book onto makingspace.org/international-womens-day/, or just drop in to do.

Kelly Ottesen will be offering a series of Ceramic Goddess Workshops. Join Kelly for a relaxed and welcoming 30 minute workshop making ceramic goddesses. All participants will also receive a complimentary glass of fizz to enjoy whilst making
Workshops cost £20 and need to be booked. The sessions will take place at the following times: 4pm, 4.45pm, 5.30pm, 6.15pm, 7pm, 7.45pm, 8.30pm.
Illustration Workshop with Wood & Daughters celebrating the female form
Drop in to this fun workshop. Celebrate the female form, body positivity and empowerment by exploring different illustration & doodling techniques. No need to book for this session, just 'drop in' between 4pm-9pm when there is space to do so!
Grandmothers Project Exhibition and opportunity to meet the maker
THE HIDDEN HISTORIES OF WOMEN; researching, reflecting and responding to our Grandmothers histories.
Artist Alison Baxter will be exhibiting her ever-growing collection of vessels inspired by people's memories of their grandmothers.
Meet our Makers
We have invited our female resident makers to join us for the evening. You will be able to meet them, chat to them about their practices, what inspires them and also support them by making a purchase!
