The Girl on the Train
Worcester Park Dramatic Society (WPDS) is delighted to bring ‘The Girl on the Train’ to the Adrian Mann Theatre this April. Based on Paula Hawkins’ international bestseller, and adapted for the stage by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, this is a truly gripping mystery/suspense thriller.
Rachel Watson longs for a different life. Her only escape is the perfect couple she watches through the train window every day, happy and in love, or so it appears to her. When Rachel learns that the woman she has been secretly watching has suddenly disappeared she finds herself both a witness and even a suspect. In this thrilling mystery Rachel faces bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.
Established in 1927, WPDS is a thriving amateur dramatic group with a diverse acting and non-acting membership. Our productions have included dramas, ‘whodunnits’, comedies, historical dramas and, more recently, pantomimes. For virtually all of its life, WPDS has been an affiliated member of NODA – the national body for amateur dramatics in the UK. Numerous acting, technical and scenery awards have been won during this time.
