Keep your mind in shape with the Brain Gym by Livat Hammersmith

You don’t have to be an athlete or even break a sweat to keep your mind in shape. For those looking to boost their brainpower or sharpen their focus, Livat Hammersmith is hosting its first ever Brain Gym - a playground for minds of all ages!

Open from the 16th - 23rd March, the Brain Gym will feature a range of free activities and workshops designed to provide easy and fun ways to exercise the brain. Running from 12-6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am - 4pm on Sunday, ongoing activities will range from logic and code cracking, to drawing and sense testing.

Just as we exercise our bodies, our brains deserve attention too. The British Medical Journal states that maintaining a healthy brain during one’s life is the uppermost goal in pursuing health and longevity - so it’s just as important to maintain mental fitness as it is to take care of physical health.

With this in mind, the Brain Gym will be supported by Hammersmith & Fulham Alzheimer’s Society, who will be hosting insightful talks on how we can all take small steps to support ourselves and loved ones in preventing and adjusting to dementia.

The talk will form part of a series of free events hosted by community groups and experts throughout the week, which are bookable here: booking.livat.com/en-GB/livathammersmith/event/ev/events

Natalia Petelina, Meeting Place Manager at Livat Hammersmith, comments “With the Brain Gym at Livat Hammersmith, we’ve aimed to create an affordable and creative space with fun experiences which appeal to people of all ages. Working with local community groups, we’ve designed a range of activities to help our visitors elevate their mental fitness while inspiring more self-care and a healthier lifestyle. There has never been a better time to train your brain!”
