SSEN high pylon power Line IDCA open Meeting Thu 27 Feb 2025 10am-1pm
All are INVITED to a Free view/discuss/ object to the proposed SSEN renewable North Scotland Wind Power Beauly to Peterhead on ground sited 400Kv OHL network infrastructure to transport power transmission lines to link Peterhead with a buried sub-sea North to South line to Hull. All welcome at a Free IDCA-PUBLIC Meeting at INCHBERRY Hall on Thursday, 27 Feb., 2025 (10am-1pm).
SSEN Transmission staff will be present for members of the public to share/influence/ object to their views on the next phase of development for very large bases and Pylon hanging line infrastructure projects in the north east of Scotland, which are scheduled to enable the connection of renewable energy from across the north of Scotland. Comment / objection period open till 21 March 2025. Scottish Ministers are the decision makers on this project.
Views / objections are being sought at this event affecting homes the breadth of the Inchberry area north east Scotland on this potential 400Kv overhead power lines on very high pylon towers and on route options for a new line between Fanellan, Beauly and Netherton, Peterhead and to new substations at Coachford, Keith, and Greens, New Deer. Routing West from South Elgin East across Inchberry local area and over the River Spey and Ordiequish forest.
The Peterhead to Beauly 220m high overhead line project will connect wind power turbines onshore and offshore for subsea transport from source to areas of demand across UK. The draft route options, include the connection to new proposed substations along its line at Blackhillock near Keith and New Deer. These were determined following feedback received during the first round of consultation events last year. SSEN Transmission is now looking for feedback on these draft W-E routes and options which will inform more detailed alignments for the new overhead electricity transmission line through the Local IDCA Inchberry area.
