Britain's What's On Event Guide
Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society making session
This month's meeting of the Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society will be held on Friday 29th March as usual (even though this is Good Friday). As we are not sure how many people will be free to attend, we have decided to make it a fun making and chatting session rather than booking a guest speaker. The session will be run by Bronwen Corrall who will lead us in making small ceramic vases / pen or brush holders, plus Paula Sutton will show how to make pinch-pot paperweights. There will also be the opportunity to exchange tips and ask questions about all things pottery related.
We will supply clay, some ideas and some spare tools for those who don't yet have their own. However, if possible, please bring :-
Apron (or wear old clothes)
Rolling pin
Cloth to roll clay on
Anything to add texture to the clay
Inner cardboard tube from kitchen paper towel roll / foil roll etc, or narrow plastic piping (eg as used for sink waste pipe)
Wooden spatula/spoon or other tool for beating pinch-pots into submission
The meeting will be held at Little Kingshill Village Hall (HP16 0DZ). For information about the society see www.buckspotters.com. We are also on Facebook and Instagram.
From 8-10pm
Entry is free for BPSS members, £5 for visitors
