Grayshott Folk Club welcomes back: THE LEISURE SOCIETY
The Leisure Society are our favourite Rock/Pop/Folk Indie band and they played to an ecstatic audience at Grayshott in September 2019.
We've been hoping to arrange this return gig ever since...........
The Leisure Society will be visiting Grayshott as part of their “Into The Arms of Hope” Tour 2024. Their sixth studio album has been delayed by Covid but bit by bit, they are assembling another masterpiece.
Founding members Nick Hemming, Christian Hardy and violinist Mike Siddell will play favourites from a highly-regarded songbook that spans five albums (from 2009’s “The Sleeper” to 2019’s “Arrivals & Departures”) plus a selection of newer songs, written during and after lockdown.
Nick Hemming promises an “open-ended and intimate” night for fans, following the “incredibly uplifting” string of dates the band performed in November 2023. Loyal followers were rewarded when the band released a new single in 2023. Brave Are The Waves features their long time admirer and friend, Brian Eno.
