Free Gaming Event at Manchester Printworks
Come down to Printworks Manchester for a free-to-take-part gaming event on the brand-new gaming screen! Kick-back on beanbags and battle it out to win a range of fun prizes.
Taking place on Thursday 4 April from 12pm – 4pm in the Pumpyard area of Printworks, the multi-player event will be presented by Printworks’ very own gaming referee, Chris Dresden, who will be encouraging visitors of all ages to use their smartphones to compete in two easy-to-play, interactive games, accepting between 30 and 100 players at a time.
Created by Manchester-based, crowd gaming specialists, Piing, the games will be played on Printworks’ new gaming screen with visitors using their smartphones as a gaming controller. There’s no app to download, visitors just need to scan the QR code on the big screen to join and play.
Gamers can try out Rebound, a ping pong game where players aim to keep the ball on the court, and Buggy Race, where gamers can steer around the islands and chicanes in a fast-paced F1-style race game.
A new gaming challenge will take place every 15 – 30 minutes, with the winner of each round able to select a fantastic prize from Printworks’ lucky dip, including vouchers for Printworks’ restaurants and leisure destinations, chocolate fountains, footballs, Printworks selfie stickers and lots more!
