The Galliard Band - St Mary Magdalene Church, Shabbington: 21st April, 4pm
Celebrate the arrival of Spring with the joyous music of The Galliard Band.
We are a group of enthusiastic recorder players who have been making music together for over twenty years.
We enjoy playing a myriad of styles drawn from seven centuries of music: from mediaeval dances to ragtime, and from Bach to Maxwell Davies.
Our aim is to entertain and enthral, as we blend the resonant sounds of seven different sizes of instruments - from the tiny sopranino to the six-foot contrabass.
If your acquaintance with the recorder is limited to youngsters doing their best in the school concert, then friends, you don't know what you've been missing.
Come along to St Mary Magdalene Church on 21st April, for a unique and refreshing musical experience.
And there's prosecco in the interval.
