Charcoal Drawing and Collage Workshop
Combining elements of both drawing and collage to create a unique portrait under the expert guidance of Cara Gordon - our Muir Trust Artist in Residence.
During the Workshop you will create your collage using different types of paper, incorporating discarded items such as old letters, maps and documents. This will create a narrative or history to your piece in addition to adding texture and depth to the surface. After looking at the properties of charcoal and how to use it, you will draw your chosen portrait image onto the collage.
This workshop is aimed at adults (age 16+) and participants are asked to bring a photograph to work from in addition to any material they want to include in the collage.
