The Living Archive Band ‘Still Rolling’
For those who missed out on the wonderful show in January, The Living Archive Band returns to York House for a repeat performance. This time, the ticket money and raffle income will go to Willen Hospice as thanks to the people who looked after Brad Bradstock in his final days.
There will be a small bar to serve you wine, beer or soft drinks on arrival. York House volunteers will be offering the chance to buy tea/coffee and cake in the interval.
If you need a reminder:
The new city’s Living Archive Band plays and sings on, with an evening of popular songs from the past drama documentaries about Milton Keynes. After losing so many members in the last few years plus the effects of the pandemic, remaining band members feared they’d reached the end of the road. However, a chance request to a past member resulted a tribute performance at Folk on the Green last June. Now a new assemblage of previous band members, in a line-up which has never before performed together, heralds a new chapter. Hear about places, people and incidents from Milton Keynes’ past in the words of those who were there and saw it happen, all recorded in these favourite folk songs of the new city.
