Poland Syndrome Festival - Birmingham
First ever Poland Syndrome festival to be held in Birmingham this weekend - 27 & 28 April 2024
Birmingham will play proud host this weekend of the first ever Poland Syndrome Festival – a weekend to raise funds and awareness for the very rare muscular and limb condition.
The event which is spread over the weekend, with a full day of activities starting at the Dorothy Parkes Centre in Smethwick on Saturday, 2pm to 6pm.
Organisers of the festival, PIP-UK, which is the UK’s only Poland Syndrome charity, say to prepare for a weekend to “uplift and unite”.
An array of activities and events are planned, including face-painting and a bouncy castle for younger visitors, through to a comedian, disco, fashion show later in the day and suitable for all ages.
A very special fitness class will be hosted by entrepreneur and Poland Syndrome ambassador, Giselle Barbosa, who will be getting the crowd limbered up with her unique Poland Syndrome Fitness Programme.
There will also be informative talks throughout the day, followed by a ‘park run’ on Sunday 28th April at the Woodgate Valley Country Park from 10am.
