Outdoor Shakespeare - The Tempest

With a hope for a sunny evening, this year SPAN’s popular annual outdoor Shakespeare production will take place on Friday the 14th of June. Join SPAN and the Festival Players for a rousing production of The Tempest.

Shakespeare’s last, and great, play is a triumphant compilation of intrigue, magic, and humour. Prospero, an exiled Duke with supernatural powers, creates a great storm which sees his enemies shipwrecked on his island. Magic abounds, plots are exposed, and a colourful array of characters gain their deserts. Fascinating entertainment.

Lampeter House, located in the village of Lampeter Velfrey, just outside Narberth, provides the perfect setting for outdoor Shakespeare, with a small amphitheatre-style theatre built into the beautiful grounds of this lovely estate.

The performance will be open-air. The audience is encouraged to be prepared for any weathers, as the show will go on come rain or shine. Audience members are welcome to bring their own seating.

A wide range of delicious refreshments will be available at the bar, which will be stocked with locally-sourced foods.

This is a popular event; advance booking is recommended to secure your place.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and tickets are free for carers. Please email info@span-arts.org.uk to let us know your access needs upon booking.
