Verdi's Aida
For Guildford Opera’s next production, Verdi’s most well-known opera, Aida, the company are returning to Guildford’s Holy Trinity Church. As usual, the opera will be sung in English and accompanied by a chamber orchestra. Using dynamic staging and evocative lighting , the church is the perfect setting for a story in which Faith and Love take centre stage as it is transformed into the centre of the Lotus Cult, where the tragic love story between Aida and Radames unfolds.
