About this Event
Springtime Ceilidh
An evening of music and dancing in the atmospheric 18th century Long Barn.
A caller will guide you through the dances while ceilidh band Nedron’s Jig provide the live music. Dances include the likes of Cumberland Square 8, Virginia Reel, Gay Gordons and The Willow Tree.
Nedron's Jig was formed initially as a 'one off' line up for a ceilidh at Norden Farm 15 years ago. The band members had been playing in different line-ups but were all good friends. Tom and Davey have been in the Feast of Fiddles band since it started and this year they played their 30th anniversary national tour. Paul and Mike have been playing folk dance music together since the 80s. Before Nedron’s Jig, they were in The Riversiders and Phungus as well as playing for many dance teams and music productions including episodes of Midsomer Murders.
They play English, Scottish and Irish music on Squeezebox, Fiddle, Mandola & Bass. Dancers will be in safe hands with their caller Alan’s expert demonstrations of the dances.
A fun night is in store and no experience is necessary!
