A quintessential English summer's day out, this village open gardens day features eleven fabulous gardens, plant sales, stalls and refreshments in various gardens.
Come and enjoy what could be Norfolk's biggest garden party!
Eleven gardens showcasing a huge variety of size and style will be open around this idyllic Norfolk village. Gardens open include:
• Swannington Manor with its three-hundred-year-old yew hedge
• Moated Swannington Hall
• Miniature perfection at Swan Cottage
• Honeysuckle Cottage and it's idyllic cottage garden
• Upgate Cottage with wildflower meadow, glasshouse and productive vegetable beds
• …and more!
Stop along the way for cream teas at the Manor, homemade cakes and light bites at the church, Pimm's at Rushton Meadows and tea and cakes at the Potting Shed in Upgate.
Head to the common in the centre of the village for local beer and drinks from Panther Ale alongside a barbecue by Swannington Farm to Fork, ice creams, cold drinks, tombola and plant sales.
Please note that all refreshments will be cash only so do come prepared!
The Romantic Garden Nursery will also be open.
A 1959 vintage Bedford coach will be on hand to transport people between gardens thanks to Easton's, while car-loves will also enjoy displays of various classic cars at Swannington Common and Upgate Common.
Dogs on leads welcome.
