This is Not Medea

The Other Theatre Company presents
This Is Not Medea

What happens when a walking Greek tradegy comes to Brexit Britain?

This is Not Medea is a triggering dark comedy about passports, pints, a global pandemic, arts, the lack of arts, the lack of toilet paper... and murder.

The Other Theatre Company is a new Midland's based company that explores the depths of what it means to be the 'other' through a necessary exploration of identity that is now most relevant than ever.

Writer's note on This is Not Medea

In the midst of the global pandemic, I turned to pen and paper to escape reality and, unknowingly at the time, brewed the story of 'This is Not Medea '. As a Greek, mixed race immigrant, I often fail to fit in the boxes that society needs to define me by. I felt a burning need to write about my lived experiences of not belonging, the unheard voices formed under the scope of prejudice, particularly after Brexit, and to rise above silence to bring our narratives to light, because we exist too.
