Upcycled paper flower workshop - Roses & Gerbera
Come and join me for a relaxed afternoon spent creating upcycled roses and gerbera style flowers.
They are long lasting, won't give you hay fever and also perfect as gifts when put together in a bouquet - particularly for those in hospital or care homes where fresh flowers are not allowed. They will all be mounted onto flexible wire stems so they can be easily cut and bent to fit whatever setting you put them in.
All materials and tools will be provided. We will be using a variety of paper sources - discarded maps, sheet music and books. If you have any materials you would specifically like to create your flowers from, please email me.
PLEASE NOTE we will also be using hot glue guns at times during the workshop - these will be used on a sharing basis, probably one between two. We will also be using wire cutters and pliers, scissors and glue sticks. If you are left handed, please could you bring your own pair of scissors.
LOCATION: Great Missenden Memorial Centre, Link Road, HP16 9AE Parking available in adjoining carpark.
TIME OF WORKSHOP: 2.30-4.30-5pm
COST: £25per person
SUITABLE FOR: all abilities 14 years+ (due to use of hot glue guns). If you like to bring a younger person along with you, please email me so we can have a chat to make sure it's suitable.
WHAT WILL I MAKE?: a number of paper flowers of your choice - the exact number will depend on your speed!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Your enthusiasm! Also if you are left handed please bring your own scissors. I will bring map and sheet music paper along with copies of Pride and Prejudice & Jane Eyre. If you wish to bring your own specific paper with you to use, just let me know.
