May Bank Holiday - Escape from the Aviary
Join us this May bank holiday (25 - 27 May) as we Escape from the Aviary, a weekend celebration of birds, inspired by our exhibition Flights of Fancy. Children get free entry to the house and grounds at Waddesdon over this period.
Get up close and personal with birds of prey. Learn about their habits, habitats, and history as well as how you can help them in the wild.
Take a ride like no other on the Bewonderment Machine. An artist-built cycle-powered carousel, a kinetic public sculpture and a magical journey for small children.
Meet giant birds with stunning fanned tails which entertain and inspire audiences, accompanied by Major Apus, the avid birdwatcher and wildlife enthusiast.
Get creative in an art and crafts workshop and stop off at the North Front near the Manor and have your face painted.
