If you are looking for an inspiring adventure in creativity, few things can compare to the immediate visual impact of fused glass hearts. Get ready to see your artistic skills in a whole new light as glass expert Judith Gill shows you how to make the most of this impressive artistic medium.
Judith, a local professional glass artist, is passionate about introducing people the joys of glass design. Using her own glass designs and images for inspiration, she will discuss the materials and processes used to create the different designs. You will be provided with a cut square glass base, and all the materials and equipment you need. Judith will guide you through the different stages, with demonstrations and directions so that you can create your own unique pieces.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience.
You can bring an apron if you wish. Protective gloves and glasses will be available if you need them.
Judith Gill is a creative glass explorer, tutor and community artist, who is proud to live and be inspired by the North East. She has a BIC in Textile Design, and worked as a knitwear designer in Leicester before training in glass design at Sunderland Glass Centre.
Your finished work will be taken away after the workshop to be kiln-fired. Judith will then package and return your work via post. The cost of packaging and postage has been included within the cost of the workshop.
