Leather Notebook Workshop
In this half-day workshop join us and make yourself or the adventurous creative in your life a unique Notebook Cover.
Create your own unique A6 leather-covered notebook for sketching, field notes recipes or diary entries. The journal is small enough to tuck into a pocket but big enough to hold favourite cuttings, photographs and postcards.
Using simple leather work techniques, in a natural finished leather which gets better as it ages, you will create a practical and pleasing item to take home with you at the end of the workshop.
We will cover a range of different skills from cutting leather, to stitching, punching and mark-making, you will also get the opportunity to personalise your notebook cover with individual initials.
Your tutor, Catherine Edwards, trained as a boot and shoemaker working for many years before embarking on a residency at the royal armouries. This led to the production of her first collection of unique leather goods.
