Jesmonite Vase Workshop

In this beginner's Jesmonite workshop you will be introduced to the versatile material that is Jesmonite AC100. You will learn the process of casting to produce a vase, vessel or pot that will be ready for you to take home after the workshop. After a brief introduction, Jess will demonstrate the process of casting, showing you through different techniques and how to achieve a marbled, solid block colour and fractured effect.

There will be a variety of high-quality medium moulds to choose from, ranging from curve plant pots to straight pots, ribbed and straight vases and flower vessels. You will then be able to select a mould, plan your design and chose your colours from a variety of pigments. Your completed piece will be ready for you to take home at the end of the workshop.

Jess Christie is an artist living in Marske by The Sea in the North East of England and works with Jesmonite capturing and executing the rich landscape of the North East in her pots and vessels from her studio in Saltburn.
