Each workshop revolves around a specific location, allowing artists the luxury of a full day to delve deeply into the intricacies of watercolour landscape painting, focusing particularly on Richard's signature approach to mood and atmosphere.
The day commences with tonal sketching and compositional exercises conducted on-location, immersing participants in the essence of the chosen landscape. Following lunch, attendees reconvene in the studio to embark on a step-by-step journey of painting. Utilizing Richard's distinctive palette of colors derived from the morning's tonal sketches, participants craft detailed landscape paintings that capture the essence and mood of the chosen location.
