The Woodlanders Art Exhibition
Conjuring up another Woodlanders Art Exhibition in Burley
Burley depicts everything you would expect from a traditional New Forest village and so much more. Firstly, its long connection with witches and fairies.
Back in the 1950's Sybil Leake, a self-styled white witch, could be seen walking around in the
village with her long black cloak with her pet jackdaw on her shoulder , which was very spooky.
Secondly, for creativity, The Woodlanders, an incredible group of artists, potters, and woodworkers, will have you spellbound with their 32nd exhibition
showcasing an array of original new works, from simple beautiful hand-made wooden items and carvings to modern contemporary and traditional paintings.
The event will be held at Burly Village hall from Saturday 7th to the 22nd September - no need to come by broomsticks, Free parking is available.
Featuring over 15 semi-professional, professional and amateur artists, there is a wide variety of art pieces for every taste.
Refreshments including eye of newt, toe of frog, wing of bat, simmering in cauldrons or how about a nice slice of good old home baked cake with a cup of tea or coffee.
