Argyle String Orchestra Summer Concert
Experience great symphonic statements and thrilling dance music from Bath’s oldest orchestra. The Argyle String Orchestra will join a selection of some of the finest wind players in the area for two exhilarating works – Mozart’s enduring Symphony No 40 and Bartok’s lively Romanian Dances. In the first half, the orchestra will explore the last of Mendelssohn’s string symphonies, the dramatic ‘Sinfoniesatz’, before welcoming long-time former conductor Tim Robb as soloist for the elegance and brightness of Haydn’s Violin Concerto No 1.
The concert will be conducted by Adam Laughton and led by Tamsin Oldham.
An array of refreshments will be available during the interval.
Concert starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets £10 on the door or £9 online. Entry for accompanied children is free.
