Magical Midsummer Mayhem
Join the fun at the magical midsummer family event at Wild About Westhope from 10.30am to 1pm on Sunday June 23rd.
The Enchanted Fairy Trail will be open to explore.
Fairies hide in all manner of places - from woodland and wildflower meadows, to streams and majestic trees, will you spot them? Come and take a walk and see who or what you can find in the woods!
Fairy trails are perfect for all the family. Discover the natural world and become immersed in nature! Each trail is rich with flora – you will feel like you have stepped into an enchanted world.
There’s also a willow workshop, wildflower discovery in the rich meadows surrounding the woodland, charcoal making experience and a woodland café serving home made refreshments, including ‘fairy cakes.’
The event is taking place near to Westhope College, SY7 9J and the College car park will be open for parking.
The event is free and all donations will go to fund the valuable conservation work undertaken by Wild About Westhope.
Wild about Westhope is a not-for-profit group who promote sustainable land management to benefit wildlife and the local community. The group manages a local nature reserve with the help of volunteers who meet regularly to undertake conservation management, green wood crafts and charcoal making.
