Join Jeremy Ford for this two-day experimental, non-figurative watercolour course. The course is designed to free the painter from any preconceived ideas of acceptability, success and failure and to just go with the flow of colour, feeling and emotion.
Using numerous watercolour techniques, mediums, colours and approaches, we will quite simply have fun with paint.
Jeremy studied Graphic Design at Southport College of Art, (1972-5) and Illustration at Harrow College of Art, London (1975-8) and has been a professional artist and illustrator since, working on a wide variety of books, magazines and greeting cards.
Jeremy undertakes commissions in all paint media and has done work for The Royal Horticultural Society, Bradford Exchange Limited Edition Plates, RCA Records, The British Tourist Authority and American Express Travel Guides, amongst many others. He has demonstrated for St. Cuthbert's Paper Mill, the makers of Bockingford and Saunders Waterford watercolour papers, and was Senior Tutor and Principal UK demonstrator for the Michael Wilcox School of Colour.
All materials, refreshments and lunch provided.
If you do wish to bring along your own paints, then feel free to do so.
Jeremy doesn't insist that people use the same colours, so if you'd like to bring along the colours you are familiar with, then that's ok.
