Livat Hammersmith - Summer Street Festival
With summer on the horizon, Livat Hammersmith is warming up for the hotly anticipated Hammersmith Summer Street Fest on June 1st.
Embracing the summer spirit, Livat Hammersmith is inviting festival-goers to join in a captivating journey of unity, creativity and transformation with the Livat Flower Wall. Open from 12:00pm-5:00pm at King Street, Hammersmith, the Livat Flower Wall will be a collective live-art installation. There will be a workshop where participants can create flowers, adding to the wall throughout the day.
Open to anyone and everyone, the Livat Flower Wall will serve as an inclusive space for visitors to reflect on their hopes for the community, writing these on a flower, which will adorn the empty wall. As the day goes on, the personalised blooms will transform the blank surface into a beautiful kaleidoscope of colours and ideas, symbolising the beauty of diversity and the power of collective dreams.
In conjunction with the enchanting Flower Wall, Livat Hammermith will also run its very own Flower Crown charity event. Open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, everyone is invited to visit the Livat market stand and purchase their own flower crown. With all proceeds going to charity, these crowns make the perfect accessory for the Hammersmith Summer Street Fest musical celebrations that evening!
All proceeds from this event will be donated to The West London Queer Project (WLQP), a local non-profit Community Interest Company, committed to connecting, supporting, and amplifying the voices of LGBTQ+ individuals in West London. WLQP aims to enhance the lives of LGBTQ+ people through fun events, safe and welcoming spaces, and empowering environments.
