Big Wild Saturday
During 30 Days Wild, the Big Wild Weekend sees Wildlife Trusts across the country holding special events to bring people closer to the natural world. For the kids (and their grown-ups) we have fun free guides on how to create wildlife friendly gardens, bug guides, worm guides, and pond ideas!
There'll be a stall where you can plant your own herbs in DIY upcycled newspaper pots which you can take home to enjoy in your own gardens and kitchens!
We've also got outdoor yoga, mindfulness, a medicinal herb walk and much more.
Outdoor Yoga
10:00 - 11:00

Join Sandra Corlett as she guides us through a series of postures & breathing techniques to calm the mind and heal the body .
This is an outdoor event. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, extra warm layers for relaxation, plus a mat (spare ones can be provided) or blanket. Age 11+.
Medicinal Herbs - Immersive Walk & Talk

Join Davina Hopkinson, Medicinal Herbalist as she takes us on a guided walk and explains the benefits of different kinds of plants that have been used for centuries to help support healing.
This is an outdoor event. Age 14+.
Forest Bathing & Mandala Making

Join a member of the NWT team for an immersive woodland experience! Forest bathing is a Japanese mindfulness practice, scientifically proven to reduce stress and involves all of the senses. We will also collect leaves, twigs and other. natural items to create a 'mindful mandala'. Take a photo of your creation as a reminder of your forest bathing experience.
This is an outdoor event. Age 11+.

Join Michael Atkinson, mindfulness expert, for a taster session. Whether you are new to mindfulness meditation or have some prior experience, you will find this session calming.
This is an outdoor event. Age 16+
