CANTILENA CHOIR: Songs of Western Lands, and harpist JESS HUGHES
Cantilena Choir's Summer Concert is our chance to say thank you to all our family, friends and sponsors for their support throughout the year. This year we're celebrating songs from Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, some old and some new, some you may know and may sing along to! You'll hear old Cornish poems, Welsh folks songs, traditional Irish poems and lots more, sung in the music settings by Holst, Macleod, Grylls and many other composers.
We're delighted to also be joined by award-winning harpist, Jess Hughes, a graduate scholar of the Royal Northern College of Music, and more excitingly a former student at Wells Cathedral School.
We hope to see you all at the concert on Saturday July 13th.
