If you have always wanted to join a choir locally, you can!
The Plymouth Rock Choir is led by vocal teacher Richard Toomer. Our choir is made up of many locals who never thought they could sing or hadn't found the right outlet for their secret singing in the car or shower. I don't think any of us expected to make the huge number of great friends we have along the way not just in our own choir but all the local Devon branches of Rock Choir too!
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Plymouth Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see why the Plymouth choir members recommend their friends!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'It is what gets me through the week. Rock Choir is real and should be available on the NHS.' - Sue (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
