Bereavement Coffee Morning at Co-op Funeralcare
A Sunderland funeral home is encouraging those grieving a loved one to attend their bereavement coffee morning.
Taking place on Friday 14 June from 11am to 12:30pm, Fulwell (Co-op) Funeralcare is inviting the community for a brew and a chat, welcoming those who have lost a loved one in the past as well as those who are recently bereaved. Attendees are invited to talk about anything they’d like, not just their bereavement, in a welcoming, friendly environment.
The group aims to provide locals with advice on the support available in the community as well as opportunities to meet others and share experiences. Guests will also be able to take part in a Father’s Day raffle raising fund for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust.
Emma Saunders, Funeral Arranger at Co-op Funeralcare Fulwell, said: “Most people assume our job as funeral arrangers stops as soon as the service is over – this couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Looking after families following the funeral is an incredibly important part of our role, which is why we decided to launch our coffee morning. There is nothing like it in the area, and we are looking forward to seeing the positive differences these sessions have on people who are grieving a loved one.
“We’d like to invite anyone who is struggling with the death of a loved one to join us – we’re here to help.”
