Insect Week at Rye Meads - Dragonfly and Damselfly Guided Walk
Have you ever seen a flash of colour, known it was a Dragonfly or Damselfly, and thought 'I really wish I knew exactly what I was looking at'? Or do you already know a lot about Dragonflies and Damselflies and enjoy going for walks with like-minded people in search of some interesting and colourful ones?
In celebration of Insect Week, our Dragonfly and Damselfly walk will take you out on to the reserve with an expert in search of Dragonflies and Damselflies as well as any other insects you can find. Our expert will talk about what pressures Dragonflies and Damselflies are facing as well as all about what species you might find and what time of year. There will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures of the various insects that call Rye Meads their home as well as opportunities to ask lots of questions as you go around the reserve, so don't forget your camera.
Please note this event is weather dependent and in the event that the weather prevents the walk from going ahead we will aim to rearrange it to a new date. If you are unable to make the new date you will be issued with a full refund.
