The Giffnock Rock Choir is led by Glasgow based musician and teacher Lauren McGarrigle. Rock Choir is unequalled in the opportunities we can offer our members - from performing at top music and arts venues like Wembley Arena and Eurodisney to raising money for some of the UKs best-loved good causes such as Comic Relief,Sign2Sing and Missing People. Appearing on national television and singing with celebrities like Natasha Bedingfield has been exciting and exhilarating, but Rock Choir members still know the importance of supporting our local community causes and events!
Just like a Zumba session or art class, your Rock Choir rehearsal provides an escape from everyday life. Once a week, your time is completely your own, to do nothing but sing your heart out with our trailblazing formula of fun, friendship and feel-good music. Book your own FREE taster the Giffnock Rock Choir and see for yourself!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir is a way for people to express themselves musically in an environment which normally would not allow them to do so. I bet a pound to a pinch of salt there are thousands of guys and girls in the UK itching to sing but are too embarrassed or worried what others may think, and let's face it, if it makes people happy then come on UK lets get behind them!!! Rock Choir is the wonderful innovative idea which is the brain child of Caroline Redman Lusher who I have had the privilege of working with over the past 12 months. Live the dream guys.' - Gary Chilton (Double-platinum selling singer with 'The Soldiers')
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
