About this Event
Chester Community Orchestra concert
New name, same orchestra - local orchestra now known as Chester Community Orchestra (CCO)
The Orchestra has retained the same ethos since its foundation in 2001 as the Jan Modelski Community Orchestra. Namely, to encourage musicians of all ages and abilities to participate in a performing amateur orchestra. The atmosphere is friendly and informal with the aim to aid musical development and encourage the best performances from its members. There are no auditions, the only requirements are a basic ability to read music, a desire to play with other performers and a sense of humour.
We have two public performances typically each year and so if you would like to hear us before joining or just come for the entertainment please come along to our next concert at 7pm on Saturday 13th July 2024.
The orchestras will perform arrangements of Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld, Handel's Water Music and also film music from ET, Gladiator and Chicken Run along with other pieces.
