Kathleen Ferrier was one of Britain’s phenomenal women of the 20th century. Whattalife! tells the story of the great English contralto from her debut as a singer in 1940, her meteoric rise and her tragic death in 1953.
Professional actress and contralto Lucy Stevens, with pianist Elizabeth Marcus, has taken text straight from Kathleen’s letters and diaries to form a unique and totally engaging performance.
The show celebrates Kathleen Ferrier's brilliance, on and off stage, with a great sense of fun, witty dialogue and heartwarming moments.
