Beatrice Nicholas & Garwyn Linnell

A warm and entertaining programme of well known music. . . with a twist!
A famous piano sonata ‘re-told’ as a new chamber music work for cello and piano, old Rossinni themes found in a modern score, finger breakers from New Orleans, an ode to Christmas, dreams, butterflies, jazz and. . . . mirrors within mirrors!

BEATRICE NICHOLAS
Beatrice Nicholas is a British pianist and chamber musician who has performed across Europe with memorable performances at the Wigmore Hall, Southbank Center, Cartier Foundation in Paris, Kings Place, Leeds Town Hall, Snape Maltings, and Edinburgh Queen’s Hall.

Beatrice is also a composer and arranger who has received commissions from the Creative Minds Festival, Nottingham Chamber Music Festival and Dark Design Graphics Company. Her work has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and she was showcased by the British Black Classical Foundation as featured composer for Black History Month in 2021.

GARWYN LINNELL
Canadian cellist, Garwyn Linnell, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in venues across the UK and Europe with highlight performances at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague, Muth KonzertSaal Vienna, and Vialte Festival in France.

He is a keen chamber musician who plays with the Salwa Quartet, and members of the Sinfonia Cymru whilst enjoying collaboration with dancers, improvisers, poets and jazz musicians.
Beatrice believes that music is a powerful tool of communication and enjoys using it to lift and engage the human heart.
