Trailwalker 2024
Trailwalker is the ultimate team endurance event. The challenge is put together a team of four and walk, jog or run 100km non-stop across the South Downs Way – in under 30 hours. A mixture of civilian and military teams take part, with teams from the Gurkha regiments battling it out for the much-coveted first place, typically completing the course in under 10 ½ hours.
Each team is backed up by a Support Crew who carry spare kit and supplies. Teams stop at the nine manned checkpoints along the route to meet their Support Crew, rest, refuel and get that all-important morale boost!
Following the historic paths of the South Downs Way over rolling chalk hills and past stunning sea views, the route covers 100km through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. The finish is at Brighton Racecourse where teams receive the treasured medal and T shirt, and are treated to a delicious Gurkha curry.
The event is run in conjunction with The Queen’s Gurkha Signals and is supported by an amazing team of volunteers.
Team entry is £280 for four people and includes
- free camping at the start
- pasta party and entertainment on the Friday evening
- cooked breakfast before the start
- support at nine manned checkpoints
- bespoke Trailwalker medal and T shirt
- an amazing Gurkha curry at the finish!
