Britain's What's On Event Guide
FREE taster session with the Halifax Rock Choir
If you have always wanted to join a choir locally, you can!
The local Halifax choir is run by vocal tutor Narelle Hill. We support a number of local good causes, raising money and awareness around West Yorkshire and as a choir we also join up with the other choirs near us to sing to support national charities such as Missing People and both Comic and Sport Relief with flash mobs, fundraising events and gigs.
We sing in Halifax every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. If you feel you're not ready to join a choir yet, why not visit our performances page at rockchoir.com to see when we're next performing locally in Halifax or West Yorkshire. There you can come along to see what we're all about - local people bringing the local Halifax community together through something as simple as learning to sing.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir has helped me through really bad times in my life. Singing together lifts my spirits and helps me forget all my worries. I have made really good friends and it has certainly raised my confidence!! A year ago would never have attempted a solo but now enjoy the challenge. Rock Choir is really good fun and I do love singing anyway.' - Pauline (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
