FREE taster session with the Southport Rock Choir
Do you want to find a choir near you?
Your local Southport choir is run by singing teacher Luke Freeney. We have a great year lined up and we would like to invite you to join our choir and take part in the local Southport and wider Merseyside area. We are the Southport rehearsal of the trailblazing Rock Choir. We often team up with the other local Merseyside choirs to appear in much bigger choral groups. These inspirational moments are unique to the Rock Choir experience. It's unbelievable and you can still join the choir.
Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Luke tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with him about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 19 years experience giving members of the public who are new to community choirs the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir is great as it has given me the opportunity to sing again without the constraints of a formal choir. The pieces are broken down so you are able to learn them and you can also download songs to practise at home. Its a great way to release the stresess of life. Singing can help you to releases' happy hormones' which make you feel happy and you leave in a better state of mind. It has helped me through a difficult time. It is fun. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
