About this Event
FREE taster session with the Honiton Rock Choir
If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes!
Your local Honiton choir is run by singing teacher Carey Camel. Rock Choir is unequalled in the opportunities we can offer our members - from performing at top music and arts venues like the O2 Arena and on top of the BT tower to raising money for some of the UKs best-loved good causes such as Refuge, British Airways Flying Start and the Edinburgh and London Moonwalks. Appearing on national television and singing with celebrities like Deborah Stevens has been exciting and exhilarating, but Rock Choir members still know the importance of supporting our local community causes and events!
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Honiton Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see why the Honiton choir members recommend their friends!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Why I love Rock Choir: I've had lupus for over 16 years. I get to forget that once a week and I feel like I've achieved something in life now, as I've had to give everything else up because of it.' - Sheryl (Rock Choir member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
