About this Event

FREE taster session with the Abingdon Rock Choir

Are you looking to join a choir?

The Abingdon Rock Choir is led by local vocal tutor Krisha Kaye. The Abingdon branch is part of the unique national singing family that is Rock Choir. Whilst retaining our focus on Abingdon community causes and events, the local branches of Rock Choir led by Krisha come together in regional and even national groups for bigger events, such performing en masse at the Royal Albert Hall, achieving album sales that enter the charts, local flashmobs and Guinness World Records and helping to raise millions for charity. Joining this incomparable musical national treasure is very easy, there are no auditions, there's no need to read music and we're open to everyone in your local community!

If you find yourself racing through the week with no time for yourself, or struggling to meet new people in Abingdon, then joining your local Abingdon choir could be perfect for you. With our unique, no-pressure approach to teaching and fun, uplifting arrangements of your favorite hit songs Krisha will guide you through your weekly dose of music, fun and laughter.

Here is a quote about our choir - 'I spend many hours every day driving and in meetings. It's often quite a struggle to get to Rock Choir and I often don't really feel like making the effort. Something magic happens when I get there - a combination of the unfailing cheerfulness of our Rock Choir tutor, the physical movement, breathing and singing, the (usually!) lovely sound of the combined voices of the choir - suddenly the stress of the day melts away, energy returns and a feeling of well-being arrives. It's been a difficult year for me - got divorced, my best friend with terminal illness passed away and I survived a tricky restructure at work, Rock Choir has often been the one really positive highlight in my week - thank you!' - Sue (Rock Choir Member)
