Grayshott Folk Club welcomes back: THE HENRY GIRLS
The Henry Girls are sisters Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin from County Donegal, in the North-West of the Republic of Ireland. As well as absorbing the music and culture of their native land, they have been influenced by their outward-looking gaze, across the Atlantic Ocean.
What sets The Henry Girls apart is their distinctive sound, which is a captivating fusion of Harp, Fiddle, Accordion and tight, impressive three-part harmonies. The interplay between these instruments and their hauntingly beautiful vocals, creates a listening experience that transcends musical boundaries and captures the essence of both their Irish roots and a Global musical spirit.
Happy to play in a local Irish pub or on the Main Stage of an International Folk Festival, these girls charmed us all at Grayshott when they first played for us in October 2015. Their return is long overdue.
