imagination Unlocked 5 Art Exhibition
Imagination Unlocked is an art exhibition featuring the work of Bridport-based artists David Brooke and Caroline Ireland. Both artists work from their imagination but in very different styles and mediums. David's work is characterised by his meticulous handling of acrylic paint to create images redolent of mythology or folklore, often humorous or quirky, inviting the viewer to weave their own stories from them. Caroline's brightly coloured paintings, in watercolour with pastel drawn on top, evoke memories or dreams and a sense of joie de vivre. She will also have some of her characteristic vibrant still life drawings in pastel on black paper in the show. Prints and cards of the artists' work will also be available. Eype Centre for the Arts is located in St Peters Church high up above the Jurassic Coast in a stunning location. The church interior, specially equipped for art exhibitions is a very beautiful space with glorious stained glass windows.
