Monthly Meeting, Ipswich Group, Suffolk Family History Society Weds 7:30pm 6th November.
Janette Robinson presents You'll Make a lovely Sergeant - The World War 1 experiences of Flora Sandes.
Flora Sandes was the only woman (not disguised as a man) to join a Great War Army and fight on the front line.
She used to be a household name throughout the Commonwealth. Today she is little known. Janette rescues her from obscurity.
She has Suffolk links, spending much of her youth in the County
The Talk starts at 7:30 p.m., and the evening will finish between 9:30 and 10:00 pm. This takes place at £2 for Society members, £3 for non-members - pay on the Door on arrival - no need to book in advance
