About this Event
Coberley Village Fete 2024
There's fun for all the family in a beautiful rural setting on August Bank Holiday, Monday 26th, at Coberley Village Fete!
There will be something to attract everyone in the grounds of Coberley C of E Primary School, - stalls with cakes, plants and produce, pre-loved clothes and soft toys, cream teas, a BBQ and bar, games to challenge children and adults, and a grand raffle which will offer some very exciting prizes!
And this year, the fete has a new feature! Coberley Fete is breaking away from its Produce Show to introduce an Art & Craft Display. So, instead of celebrating the largest marrow or the wonkiest potato, we are inviting all artists and crafters in our communities to proudly display their creations.
The Cheltenham Ukulele Group will be entertaining during the afternoon and there will be some visitors from the charming Cotswold Alpaca herd, with demonstrations of the ancient art of alpaca fleece spinning running alongside.
And your family dogs can join in too! The ever-popular Dog Show will be a focal point once again for your canine friends to compete for various rosettes.
Even better, - there’s a special raffle to win a pastel portrait of your beloved pet – whatever type of animal that might be! – to be created by highly-talented local artist, Rachael Prosser who will have some of her work on display beside the Dog Show ring during the afternoon.
Fete Co-organiser, Georgina Kedge commented “Our 2023 Fete saw an enthusiastic response from the community and was the most successful to date. A lot of hard work is going in from the team to make this one even better!”
“We hope that there will be a keen interest in supporting our new Art & Craft Display. We look forward to seeing a wide variety of art, photography, and handicrafts from across the Parish and beyond!”
Ample parking is provided in the immediately adjacent field, with reserved disabled parking and there is good wheelchair access.
Funds raised go to the upkeep of Coberley Church
