Lakeside Shopping Centre's 'Summer of Sports'
Lakeside Shopping Centre is serving up a summer of fun with its FREE Summer of Sports event. The event is set to see five consecutive weeks of themed sporting activities for children and adults to get involved with. From basketball to football to BMX bikes – there will be an activity for everyone to enjoy.
Arcade-style simulators will be available across the weeks of Basketball, Football and Golf to get involved with too.
Lakeside’s Summer of Sports Schedule (all sessions will take place between 11am – 7pm):
Week One: Monday 29th July – Friday 2nd August - Basketball Extravaganza: Attendees can learn skills and test their shooting prowess in an arcade-style interactive basketball hoop game and compete with family and friends.
Week Two: Monday 5th August – Friday 9th August - Football Frenzy: Freestylers will showcase their incredible talents to inspire those in the mall. Visitors can participate and also experience the excitement of scoring goals and for this week only, there will also be a fantastic Football Simulator.
Week Three: Monday 12th August – Friday 16th August – BMX Adventures: Experience the exhilaration of BMX Flatland, where parkour meets breakdancing on a bike! Catered to riders of all levels, a structured workshop ensures personalised guidance and development on mastering basic skills to manoeuvring a bike with precision and flair.
Week Four: Monday 19th August – Friday 23rd August - Table Tennis Thrills: Visitors can take a break from shopping and challenge friends and family to a lively game of ping pong at the dedicated table tennis station, adding active fun to their day.
Week Five: Monday 26th August – Friday 30th August - Mini Golf Adventure: The 9-hole course offers a perfect blend of challenge and enjoyment for player of all ages and skill levels. A Golf Simulator will be also providing an immersive experience to practice technique.
There is also the chance to win £250 by completing the Sports Trail.
